Lighthouse Professional Services is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Fairfield, CT
We are currently seeking an Payroll Specialist for a client in Fairfield, CT.
The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws. Candidates must display a high level of professionalism and be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Processing payroll for 300 employees on a bi-weekly basis. Please note, we currently use paper timesheets and a large amount of manual calculations will be necessary.
- Managing accounts receivable and payable.
- Filing quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Processing necessary liens and wage garnishments.
- Completing censuses and preparing for audits for our worker’s compensation and 401k plans.
- Preparing and filing 1099s, 945s, 941s and 1096s.
- Creating monthly invoices for our contracted vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of all pertinent payroll & tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy with data entry.

Pay Rate: $60K-$80k depending on experience
